Architectural Control Committee
Submit requests for exterior modifications through the Maredith Portal. All submissions are now processed digitally for faster approval.
Any proposed change to your residence including paint/siding colors, additions, landscaping, fences, sheds, play structures and similar changes require approval by the ACC. All submissions are now submitted through the Maredith portal.
ACC has 30 days to respond "approved" or "denied". On average this has taken less than a week to approve.
Remember to submit if you will have a dumpster parked on the sidewalk for renovations.

What Requires Approval
- • Exterior changes (paint, siding, additions)
- • Fences, decks, patios, play structures
- • Landscaping with hardscape over 18" high
- • Solar panels and new technology
Application Requirements
- • Site plan/plat showing location
- • Drawings, photos, or brochures of materials
- • Paint chips (2 samples per color)
- • Photo of your home's exterior
Key Restrictions
- • No chain link or stockade fences
- • No free-standing storage sheds
- • Only in-ground pools (6ft fence required)
- • Play equipment in rear yards only
Fences & Structures
- • Property line fences: max 4ft height
- • Perimeter lots: up to 6ft allowed
- • Decks must match house color scheme
- • Raised decks require lattice/landscape screening

How to Submit a Request
Follow these steps to submit your modification request through the Maredith Portal.
Login to your Maredith Portal
Access your account through the Maredith management portal using your resident login credentials.
Click "Maintenance" on Left
Navigate to the Maintenance section in the left sidebar menu of your portal dashboard.
Click "Create a New Request" on Left
Select the option to create a new maintenance request from the left menu options.
Click "For your Home"
Choose the "For your Home" option to indicate this request is for a residential modification.
Choose item, fill out and submit
Select the appropriate modification type, complete all required fields with detailed information, and submit your request for ACC review.
Response Process
Email is sent with confirmation of approval or denial to homeowner. The ACC typically responds within a week, though they have up to 30 days as specified in the covenants.
Appeal Process
A homeowner may appeal the decision of the ACC initially back to the ACC and then if they are still not satisfied, they may appeal to the ACPOA Board.
